Bi-Fold Closet Knob Backplate

Our kitchen doors and drawers were getting wear scratches around the knob’s from usage. Rather than a repaint I started to look for a better solution. Your backer plates were just the answer I wanted. I installed the plates an every one is happy.

I added the backplate to the closet knobs. It looks good and also protects the door from scratches.

Backplates give a nice appearance and cover up any door surface blemishes. Very satisfied with the new backplates and knobs.
The bifold doors are 40 years old and the screw holes had widened. I put one plate on the front and back each door for screw hole stability.
NOTE: the backplates are hollow so I used fender washers with the smallest hole possible to fill in the back sides and provide additional stability. Used double sided gorilla tape cut to shape for adhesion of washer and backplate to door. Opted not to use silicone or epoxy. Longer screws were needed.

Needed to cover up damage from previous closet door knobs. These backplates are quality in construction and appearance and come in at a good price point.
